The process of Hopi ear candling involves a specially designed hollow candle being inserted just inside the ear. The candle is then lit and the suction that is formed draws any impurities from within the ear. Before your treatment you will be given a consultation to discuss any problems with your ears, and also to find out what your expectations of the treatment are. You will be placed in a comfortable position laying down on your side. The Hopi candle will be gently placed just inside the ear, lit, and held firmly in place.

You will experience a crackling sound as the candle burns and possibly some popping of the ear. The candle takes around 15 minutes to burn down, after which it is carefully removed from the ear and extinguished. The candle is then opened to reveal any deposits drawn out from the ear and determine the outcome of the treatment. The entire process is then repeated for the other ear.

- Lack of ear drum
- Auricular cysts
- Grommets, drains or ventilation tubes fitted
