Paraffin wax treatments are a luxurious form of heat therapy intended to soothe muscle and joint pain, as well as moisturise and soften the skin. They are extremely relaxing and particularly helpful for musculoskeletal problems, sports related injuries and skin conditions. People who experience seasonal dry skin often find paraffin wax treatments to be a helpful and relaxing preventative measure, and are especially good for dry, cracked heels and knuckles.
Parts of the body are submerged in warm melted wax to coat the skin in a thick layer, which are then wrapped securely and left for a period of time to "soak". The heat from paraffin wax treatments is both warming and healing, and the nourishing wax helps to moisturise dry and cracked skin. The heat encourages pores to open and the skin to soften, while calming oils within the wax add a dimension of aromatherapy to the experience.

What can I expect during a Paraffin Wax Treatment?
A consultation will be carried out prior to your treatment to find about your medical history and aims for the treatment. There are 2 options for the Paraffin Wax Treatment:
Back, Neck & Shoulders
An application of relaxing warm paraffin wax is applied to your back, neck and shoulders to create a thick layer, which is then sealed securely in plastic. You are then left to relax for around 15mins. This process retains the heat from the paraffin wax to ensure your body receives the benefits from this indulgent treatment. After this time the paraffin wax can then be removed from your back in one solid piece, and the treatment is completed with a 30min massage. Your skin will feel soft and silky smooth, and the heat will allow for a deeper and more beneficial massage.
Hand & Foot Treatment
The feet are dipped into a warm wax bath numerous times to build up a thick layer which is then wrapped in plastic mitts and towels. The same procedure is repeated for the hands. While the hands and feet "soak" in their warm wax cocoons a 15min scalp massage is carried out to relax you further. The mitts are then removed and the wax can be pulled off, leaving your hands and feet feeling wonderfully soft and pampered.
