Hot stone therapy is a form of massage using heated volcanic stones. These basalt stones are rich in minerals and are believed to have healing properties which promote relaxation and eliminate negative energy within the body, mind and soul. A Hot Stone Massage will make you feel nurtured, pampered and special.
The stones are carefully placed on the chakras and other key points in the body to balance energy, while additional stones are used along with essential oils to massage the body. The size of the stones used vary according to the part of the body being worked on. Hot Stone Massage feels very luxurious and gentle, however, the heated stones enable deep relaxation in the muscles giving a more effective and intense form of massage. Therapists are able to reach up to 10 times deeper during a Hot Stone Massage than other forms of manual massage.

What can I expect during a Hot Stone Massage?
A consultation will be carried out prior to your treatment to find out about your health, lifestyle, and your aims for the treatment. Essential oils will then be chosen to best suit your needs.
The massage lasts 60 minutes in total and during this time your legs, arms, chest & back will be treated. Large stones will be placed on the chakras to rebalance energy and promote relaxation. Further stones of varying sizes are then used to massage the body with the blend of essential oils chosen during the consultation.
The variety of strokes and techniques used in the massage coupled with the comforting heat of the stones quickly allows the muscles to ease, and tension begins to melt away leaving you feeling pampered and in a state of deep relaxation.
